Ankle Embellishment

Watching the runway trends during New York Fashion week had me obsessing a bit over ankle strap heels.  And I'm not only talking about a dainty leather strap with a petite buckle, but some amazing, bold statements that got me to thinking how I could take this look and make it my own with some of my favorite, basic heels.  I made my way over to Forever 21 to start the search and ended up finding a couple bracelets that I thought would work... And bought a pair of each!

Here's the result... I'm kinda loving this!

An easy way to take a day look to night... I added a couple leather strap cuffs (to my ankles!) to compliment a basic pair of heels and kept the rest of the outfit basic.  I certainly didn't want to overdo something in the experimental phase.

For a bit more fun and because I am into subtle spikes right now, I thought a pair of these matte silver bracelets worked at the base of a pair of boyfriend jeans and a sweet kitten heel.  They are perfect as a one size fits all since it's made with a elastic band rather than a clasp. 

Another pretty look shown on the right would be with a ribbon bow tied off to one side for an extra feminine feel.

And then of course I did come across this beautiful pair of butterscotch heels with a "built-in"strap.  Couldn't be passed up!
